Reflection on funeral (1921-1989), historical background on Manuel, organized communities at the local level even though gov didn't like. Ideal of self-determination, Canadian White Paper 1969, changing strategies, National Indian Brotherhood, Canadian delegation to Tanzania and New Zealand, saw realities of nation-state conflicts, orgnaizing trans-national meetings with indian groups (world council for Indigneous peoples, idea of the Fourth World.
