Abstract

This article examines the resistance of the indigenous Otomí community of San Francisco Xochicuautla, Mexico, against the construction of the 'Autopista Toluca – Naucalpan' highway through their ancestral lands. It highlights legal violations, environmental degradation, and the community’s struggle to protect their land rights and autonomy in the face of state and corporate interests.
