Resumen
Since the end of the Cold War, U.S. foreign policy has shifted towards pursuing empire through a sovietization approach, imposing its model globally. This has led to negative consequences such as economic instability, job losses, income disparity, and social welfare challenges within the United States. The aggressive tactics of wars, sanctions, and regime changes have resulted in global backlash and loss of international support. Washington's ability to impose its will unilaterally in Afghanistan and Iraq is diminishing, signaling the decline of its empire. The loss of liberties for US citizens due to imperial pursuits is critiqued, drawing parallels with historical empires like Athens and Rome. The articles explore the consequences of US imperial wars on domestic freedoms through geopolitical analysis.
